The LCC Tutorial Series 2004-2005
The Laboratory and Computing Committee (LCC) of the Department of Linguistics organizes a (yearly) tutorial series, which covers a variety of topics that we hope are useful for both new and old students and faculty. Everyone is welcome to attend!Here is the schedule of events, which take place at 3:30-5:00pm (unless noted otherwise) in our computational teaching lab in 201 Oxley Hall. This quarter we put the tutorials into the first four available Fridays. Further events will be scheduled later.
- Sep. 24 - UNIX intro parts 1 & 2 (Jim Harmon)
- Oct. 15 - Intro to the Emacs editor (Chris Brew)
- Oct. 22 - Data analysis using SSPS and R (Keith Johnson)
- Nov. 05 - Intro to LaTeX (David Dowty)
