2010 Deadlines

Winter Quarter


January 4 - Deadline to submit title of any out-of-sync Qualifying Paper to be presented in the ColloquiumFest on January 22.

January 8 - Written version of out-of-sync First Qualifying Papers. (Submit pdf to the three members of the reading committee, cc to gradprog. Committees have until February 5 to review papers submitted on time.)

January 22 - Colloquium presentation of out-of-sync Second Qualifying Papers.

February 19 - Written version of out-of-sync Second Qualifying Papers. (Submit pdf to the three members of the reading committee, cc to gradprog. Committees have until March 19 to review papers submitted on time.)

Spring Quarter


March 29 - Deadline to submit title of any Qualifying Paper to be presented in the Spring ColloquiumFest.

May 14 - Colloquium presentation of Qualifying Papers, targeted for First Qualifying Papers of students in the 2008 cohort and for Second Qualifying Papers of any students in the 2007 cohort who do not opt to present their papers in the Autumn 2010 ColloquiumFest.

May 10 - Spring quarter review of student progress for all students except students in the 2009 cohort.

June 7 - AdvisingFest for students in 2009 cohort. By two weeks before the AdvisingFest, each students submits a list of faculty to be invited to attend the student's meeting to the Graduate Studies Committee.

Autumn Quarter


September 20 - Deadline to submit title of any Second Qualifying Paper for students in the 2007 cohort who opted not to present in the preceding Spring ColloquiumFest.

September 24 - Written version of Qualifying Paper due for students who presented their papers on April 23. (Submit pdf to the three members of the reading committee, cc to gradprog. Committees have until October 22 to review papers submitted on time.)

October 8 - ColloquiumFest for students who submitted titles to the Speakers Committee by September 20.

November 5 - Written version of Qualifying Papers due for students who presented their papers on December 3. (Submit pdf to the three members of the reading committee, cc to gradprog; committees have until November 19 to review papers submitted on time.
