- II.2. Registration and Scheduling — This section specifies the minimum course load, procedures for registering for and withdrawing from courses, and so on.
Note that the minimum course loads for a student with an appointment as a Graduate Associate are different before and after passing the Candidacy Exam. Also, the minimum course load for Summer Quarter applies even when a student accepts a fourth-quarter fee waiver and does not receive a stipend.
- II.6. Doctoral Degree Programs — This section specifies Graduate School wide requirements for the Ph.D., including residency requirements, the Candidacy Exam, and the dissertation.
- III. Guidelines for Preparing Theses, Dissertations, and D.M.A. Documents. One section of the Graduate School Handbook describes formatting requirements. There are also links to documents about policies and procedures for electronic submission of the finished document (and for delaying dissemination of it) on the "Policies and Procedures" page of the Graduate School URL. Note that beginning in Autumn 2002, all doctoral dissertations the Ohio State University must be filed electronically.
