The office of the Registrar posts quarter-by-quarter calendars of important dates such as deadlines for registering without paying a late fee and for withdrawing from a course without petitioning. Also see the University Registrar's Academic Calendar.

Note that the minimum course loads for a student with an appointment as a Graduate Associate are different before and after passing the Candidacy Exam. Also, the minimum course load for Summer Quarter applies even when a student accepts a fourth-quarter fee waiver and does not receive a stipend.

The Graduation Services office in the Graduate School maintains an online calendar [PDF] of deadlines such as the last date for filing the "Dissertation Draft Approval" form that also schedules the dissertation defense. This form (and the form for scheduling the Candidacy Exam) can be obtained in the Graduate School or from the Graduate Studies Coordinator (currently Jane Harper).
