- Katie Carmichael and Abby Walker (PhD '14) have both been awarded tenure in the Department of English at Virginia Tech.
- Rex Wallace (PhD '84), now a professor emeritus in the Classics department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, has published a book with his colleague Alessandra Petrocchi at the University of Oxford. The book, titled Grammatica delle Lingue Sabelliche dell’Italia Antica, is a description of the grammatical structure of the Sabellic languages, a subgroup of the Italic branch of the Indo-European language family. The languages were spoken in ancient Italy in the period before Roman expansion and were ultimately replaced by Latin.
- Nicole Holliday (BA '10) has accepted a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania, starting in the fall.
At the LSA this year, Brian Joseph hosted a room party for all current and former Buckeyes.
