At the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum in the Human Experience category, Kate Kinnaird was awarded 2nd place (title: Stigma and sentiment: The perception of terms related to sex industry participants) and Hali Clark was awarded Honorable Mention (title: Effects of lexical competition, dialect familiarity, and dialect exposure on lexical processing). Congratulations also to Kenna Miller and Rebekah Stanhope who also presented.
Kate Kinnaird also won the undergraduate poster competition and graduate student at the Buckeye Language Network Symposium.
Linguistics major Heather Radcliffe had three poetry publications in the 1st & 3rd digital editions of The Good Life Literary Journal this year, and was the recipient of the Alberta Garber Scott Fellowship through the Department of Sociology.
