Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

My current research focuses on linguistic phonetics, phonology and morphology. I work on prosody with specific topics related to rhythmic patterning of Vietnamese multisyllabic words and structuring of Vietnamese prosodic hierarchy. Additionally, I study on the role of generalized knowledge and item-specific knowledge in constituent ordering preferences. My research projects have a special focus on Vietnamese reduplication and compounding. Another research interest of mine has been second language acquisition and language teaching.
