Computational Cognitive Modeling Lab

Room 209, Oxley Hall

Dr. Schuler's computational modeling lab is concerned with developing and evaluating computational models of language acquisition and comprehension, in order to test claims about the nature and origins of human language. It is outfitted with two servers (2.5Ghz Xeon (24 cores) w/ 60GB of memory; 3.2Ghz Xeon (6 cores) w/ 24GB of memory; These are also part of our hadoop cluster along with a couple of other machines) which are used for corpus-based speech and language processing and machine learning of human language models.
