Bethany Toma Wins Two Awards

The Oval at OSU main campus

Congratulations are due to Bethany Toma (advisor: Judith Tonhauser), to whom the Arts and Sciences Honors Committee has given two awards: a $4,500 Undergraduate Research Scholarship and a $2,000 International Research Grant for her excellent research proposal to study the syntax, semantics and pragmatics of right dislocation constructions in British English. The committee states that the awards are meant to endorse Bethany’s ability to successfully complete a significant research project with the potential to launch her post-graduate studies and career, and moreover to recognize her as a person who will make a substantial contribution to whatever future endeavors she may choose.

Wonderful news, Bethany!
