Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Liz McCullough accepts post-doc

Liz McCullough

Congratulations are due to Liz McCullough, who has taken a post-doctoral position with Professor Cynthia Clopper and Professor Laura Wagner (OSU Psychology) on their project, "A Large-Scale Cross-Sectional Investigation of Dialect Acquisition".  Liz provided me this brief description of her responsibilities to project:

"I'll be responsible for overseeing our data collection efforts at COSI, investigating regional dialect perception and production in participants of all ages with a particular focus on children.  We're planning for at least 5,000 participants over 2 years.  Dialect research with children tends to be limited in a variety of ways, so a large-scale effort like this stands to contribute quite a lot to our understanding of sociolinguistic development."

Terrific news, Liz!
