Professor Emerita Mary Beckman has been elected fellow of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA), "for contributions to phonology, including the phonology of intonation and language acquisition".

Mary is one of three new fellows from Ohio State, with Professors Eric Fosler-Lussier and DeLiang (Leon) Wang in Computer Science and Engineering, out of just eight new fellows for 2021.
