Congratulations are due to Qingyang Yan (advisor: Cynthia Clopper), who has been awarded a Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Award from the NSF for her dissertation, entitled "Factors influencing generalization and maintenance of cross category imitation of Mandarin regional variants.” The award will support her fieldwork in China and dissemination of her research at conferences.
