Education
- B.A. in Linguistics, University of Puerto Rico–Mayagüez, 2019.
Hola! I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where my research interests have centered predominantly on the intricate interplay between language and identity. Currently, I am engaged with the Puerto Rican community, concentrating on the concept of Puerto Rican authenticity and its expression within the realm of beauty pageants. My scholarly pursuits also extend to the analysis of conversational and discursive dynamics within computer-mediated communication (CMC). Additionally, I have explored the paralinguistic functions of emojis and their role in conveying scalar implicatures. If you have any questions or are interested in anything linguistics feel free to reach out. I would be delighted to sit and have a conversation!
