Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

The Language Pod is a fishbowl research lab located inside of a science museum (COSI). In this unique space, OSU researchers collect data using the COSI visitors as participants. In addition, the space serves as a museum exhibit devoted to helping COSI visitors understand more about language and how it is studied. In this talk, we discuss several ways that the Language Pod engages with the general public at COSI as well as the ways that Pod faculty train students to be effective language science research ambassadors.
